Admirative overview
Ministry of Agricultural and irrigation in Kurdistan region Of Iraq established
in 1992 and
start functioning in Erbil , Sulaymaniyah and Duhok governorates . One of its
structure elements is the Directorate of Irrigation ( DoI ) and per each
governorate there is One DoI that take the responsibility of all Irrigation
needs and provide services This DoI is covering all districts, sub districts
and villages within the admirative boundary of the governorate ..
Directorate
of Irrigation – Erbil is responsible for Erbil city center
with Ten districts and more than 500
sub districts and villages . To serve , manage and control the needed in these
locations DoI establish four subbranches in Shaqlawa, Khabat, Soran and Bile .
